Well have not posted anything for a while. I’m sadden to say Shitbucket no longer drives for us.
Three weeks ago he ran off the road and tore the steps off his truck and blew a tire and ruined a rim. Then Two weeks ago he was leaving Jackson, Tn and pulled out in front of a
car and was hit (His fault), then 2 days later he was empty heading from Des Moines, Ia down route 163 going to Ottumwa, Ia it’s during daylight, 4 lanes and flat open road and hits a farmer that was in his Combine. Totals both vehicles, lucky no one was hurt.
So the big greasy, scum suckin Shitbucket was fired and I’m glad no one was hurt but I can not say I’ll miss him.
New post from on the road:
Day before Deer Season 2009:
Very busy checking my list twice. Think I have everything but double check any ways.
Have everything almost loaded, Cleaned gun’s for Sara and my brother and mine.
Fueled truck up got to check oil and other fluids, also have to check air in tires.
Jumper cables and Tow strap under seat, x-tra blankets and heaters in truck along with spare clothes. Boy let the count down begin. Man it’s like the night before Christmas.
Playing all situations thru my mind.
I’ll post more after the hunt is over, hopefully everyone in camp get’s one this year.
Tells of the Road:
Well it’s been a while, so I’ll start with last week.
Monday last week I went to a job site in Milan, Il. It was about 42 miles from home, got there at 6:30 am and it only took them 6 hours to unload 12 bundles of sheets, Pissed me off so when I was empty I drove home without callin in.
Tuesday I went to Peoria, Il and picked up wire that delivered Wednesday in Henderson, Ky. Deliverd Wednesday morning at 6:30 am then headed to Jackson, Tn. I was suppose
to get a load going to Annville, Pa but the Little inbred dispacher in Jackson gave my load away and had me go to San Marcos, Tx. Easy run but I lost about $100. on my pay check for this load. Well I got to San Marcos Thursday afternoon dropped the trailer and hooked on to my next load. Headed for the truck stop at New Braunfels, Tx. Spent the night there, got up Friday and headed for Buda, Tx. Stoped at Cabelas did some shopping then headed up to Robinson, Tx. spent the night there.
Got up early on Saturday and headed for Kansas City, Ks. arrived there around 11:30 am,
at lunch and watched some tv then went to bed. Got up Sunday Morning and took off for Fort Dodge, Ia. arrived at 8:15 am and ate breakfast then out to the truck took a nap got up at 4 pm and headed over to the job site. Very peaceful, I was the only truck parked facing a Lake full of Ducks and geese, with woods around 3 sides. Woke up and watched Deer move back and forth to the Lake (wish I had my Bow).
Unloaded this past Monday and heade down to Adel, Ia for a load of brick that went to Chicago, all I had to do was bring it back to Galesburg so Shitbucket could deliver today at 12:30. Now I home recieving phone call’s from Ehor and Shitbucket because they are running alone. I turned off the cell phone so they stop calling.
I’m trying to get things ready for Deer Camp and Fort Obie Bows and Bullets Turkey Shoot. I’ll post more of the Hunt later.
Jubilee and Fort Obie Events:
Well Jubilee was a few weeks ago so I’m a little late on this event.
Man from Ohio and I set up my Wall tent and fly so Mike could put his Gun Display
up and out of the weather. It basically rained all day on Friday/School day but there was a great turn out anyway. I spent the day playing tow truck with my 4×4 pulling cars out of the mud back up to gravel and pavement. There was a nice turnout for the event.
I traded a pistol for a rifle, sold a smooth bore and bought a smooth rifle and then bought French buccaneer gun that has a 54 inch barrel, this gun stands taller then me
and I’m 5 ft 11in.
I started learning the old black smithing from my Good friend Mike from Ohio. Plus I started doing my French Woods runner Persona.
All in all looking forward to this Event next year, I will be posting some photo’s of this year later.
Fort Obie:
Went and set up Thursday afternoon and stayed til Sunday afternoon.
Mike and I set up again my Wall and Fly for his Gun display.
Thursday night Mike, DaveyO, Taco, Petey and myself went to Pizza Hut and ordered large, We ended up taking left overs back to the Fort. We all sat in the Cabin getting caught up, Friday it was cold and rainy but had a good turn out of School Kids.
Saturday woke up to Frost on the ground and then it started Snowing, still had the public walking thru. That night Omar the wonder dog got lose and scared a skunk and got a little perfume on him, Petey had to drive home with him then give him the famous
skunk bath. Sunday was cold but a good day. Really I did not want to come home.
It was nice seeing all my Old friends and meeting new friends.
This event is great lazy event and I’m look’n forward to it again.
To all my friends I hope to see ya at Bows and bullets the Saturday after Thanks Giving at the Fort. I’ll be cooking up some Deer and Bufallo Chili for the meal.
This Event I went Western Trapper and had some fun. A bunch of us planned a big feed for Saturday night meal and it was great a big thanks to all that cooked.
Hunting
Well I have a complaint about Wal Mart sporting department. Went out to buy Electronic Archery Deer permit along with State and Federal Duck Stamps and was there for over a hour because no one knew how to run the damn machine, They kept punching buttons until it locked up then the ass manger came over and unplugged it and started over plus they kept saying I had to buy the hunting and habitat stamp again, so we had a little chat after I showed last years and this years license. They finally seen my way and got the damn thing to work. That is the last time I buy there.
If you are going to put workers in sporting goods then make sure they know what the Hell they are doing, last night a young lady was buying shells to go dove hunting and asked the guy a question and he had no clue so she asked me for help another customer
I wonder what management is thinking? But I did get my stuff so I’m ready to go Petey.
On the Road:
Well it has been awhile so I thought I’d write one up.
Left last Sunday morning with Ehor, we headed down to Columbus, Tn delivered Monday morning. Ehor was suppose to go to Jackson, Tn to pickup a load for Florida but of course that fell thru so I get stuck with him to Annville, Pa and then again to Milton, Pa and then all the way to Boone, Ia for delivery yesterday morning and then back to the house. Ehor only cry’d a couple times when he thought he was going to be by himself, but Art saved him each time by keepin him with me. I was suppose to be home by Noon on Friday so I could go to Dad Joe’s Event in Wynot, Il this weekend, I was going Buckskinner/Trapper of the 1800’s instead of 1700’s French and Indians. Well I guess I’ll have to wait for Fort Obie in October to dress Mountain man. While I was out this week I had a good friend put a whole new front end under my 4×4 pickup so look out hunting season I’m ready to get down and dirty.
Heritage Days 2009
Had a blast, set up Thursday afternoon. Then stayed Friday thru Sunday, Our side set a record this year with camps, alot of new faces and that was great. Seeing friends that I don’t see except at events. Friday night I went to bed and had a bug mess with my ear so I got the bug juice out and shot it right into my eye thought I would die then I blinked and it got under my contact man it burned like hell, I’d rather been Scalped a live by Indians. Got up Saturday lookin like I smoked crack.
I did buy a pair of Elk skin pants for my other persona of a western trapper.
Sold some stuff and bought some stuff. Petey thanks for selling me the New Canoe Paddles, they should work great, I do like the style.
Missed a couple people that did not show, Hope everything is fine. Hatchet Jack, I was going to mess with you, you little trouble maker. Hope to see everyone at the next gathering. Well I better go check on gear hang’n out to dry in the Garage.
The Man from Ohio showed up Sunday morning for awhile and messed with him about his new FULL TIME NIGHT WOMAN.
Last week on the road
Took off last Tuesday for Evansville, Wi. Spent the night there and dropped and hook trailers on Wednesday, Picked up a 2 stop load that delivered Thursday in Long Praire, Mn and Moorhead, Mn. It was a nice run great landscape and the best part was I WAS BY MYSELF. Shitbucket and Eor kept calling me because they were togather out in Geneva, Ohio. After getting both stops off I bounced back 4 hours to Shakopee, Mn to pickup shingles on Friday Morning. I was loaded and heading for home by 7:15 a.m. Friday, I arrived home around 4 p.m. I sat on the load til yesterday and delivered in Macomb, Il. Came home empty and I decided to take the Alabama State Coil test, I passed the freak’n test so I’m legal to haul coils in/out/thru that State whoop de, never have before. Yesterday’s Post are some photo’s of family and me.
